Last week, Sitecore Symposium brought together innovative thinkers in the marketing, IT, and business world to discuss how to use your current technology to drive great customer experiences. RDA sent a team to Las Vegas to present what we have done, and to hear from Sitecore and Sitecore customers on what they are doing to methods to create personalized digital marketing solutions.

Sitecore’s new features are sure to drive the marketing world forward. I am excited to learn more about the latest innovations and see them develop into more capable tools that will drive rich connected commerce experiences for our clients’ customers.
PACE layered architecture can drive internal consensus
As technology continues to advance at a rapid pace, updating your tech stack at the same rate can be difficult. Kirsten Newbold-Knipp, a keynote speaker from Gartner, talked about PACE layered application strategy. The concept revolves around how your team should organize, select, and manage applications to support business change. PACE layers can drive internal consensus and action by focusing your investments on applications that differentiate and innovate, ultimately fueling the growth of businesses.
Personalization is no walk in the park
Every marketer recognizes the benefits and importance of personalization to their customers, but as I learned at symposium, they find it hard just knowing how to get started. There wasn’t one personalization session that wasn’t a full house of marketers wanting to learn the secret to personalization. While Sitecore helps you achieve personalization when implemented correctly, to get started it’s about knowing how to analyze the data you’ve already gathered and categorize your customers into different personas.
Everyone has a favorite symposium memory
Symposium showcased many talented and well informed keynote speakers, but one of my favorite moments was seeing RDA’s Director of Digital Sales and Marketing, Andrew Crowder, and Jamie Saunders, Neenah’s Senior Marketing and Communication Manager, present “Revamped Commerce Platform Accelerates Marketing”. Together, they addressed the common struggle of initiating an eCommerce project and offered lessons learned when implementing new technology. This was one of the first implementation instances of the new Sitecore Commerce. If you missed it at Symposium, you can catch it in a webinar. Register here.
