Known as the world’s leader in aviation and aerospace education, Embry-Riddle Worldwide offers instruction–both online and face-to-face–via a network of facilities supporting student advancement in the U.S. and abroad.

Challenge

Embry-Riddle’s network of campuses–over 100 total–are scattered across the U.S., and each has historically maintained its own online presence. Recognizing the efficiencies and brand consistency that could be gained with a more centralized system, the school also wanted to use this opportunity to enhance its ability to deliver personalized content.


Solution

Given the volume of sites that need to be managed for Embry-Riddle’s numerous campuses, Sitecore was a natural choice as a platform foundation. Sitecore is a leading experience management software that enables context marketing. The platform manages content, supplies contextual intelligence, and automates communications at scale, across every channel and in real time. Multiple manual websites are now transitioning to the more automated, centralized environment.

This project solution was a collaborative one, involving RDA and members of the Embry-Riddle team who were not familiar with Sitecore. RDA Sitecore experts traveled to the client site and provided two to three days of training on the platform for Embry-Riddle employees allowing them to maintain content as necessary.


Results

With the new Sitecore platform, Embry-Riddle has a centralized, robust tool for managing its network of sites, including development, personalization and deployment of content.
